Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor

The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, Department of Geomatics and Surveying.

• Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
• BSc hons Degree or related in Surveying or Geomatics and Surveying
• A Master’s Degree in Surveying or Geomatics and Surveying
• Teaching experience at tertiary level will be an added advantage The candidate should be able to teach any three of the following modules: Engineering Survey, Hydrographic Surveying, Surveying CAD, Mine Survey, Mine Survey, Cadastral Survey, Survey Computations, Environmental Planning/Design

As a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor, you will be
• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
• Supervise undergraduate student research projects where relevant
• Engage in active research and innovation in their area of specialisation
• Participate in community outreach programs and university income-generating activities
• Participate in examination invigilation and assessment processes
• Contribute to departmental curriculum development, research, innovation, and industrialization efforts
• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
• Supervise undergraduate student research projects where relevant
• Engage in active research and innovation in their area of specialisation
• Participate in community outreach programs and university income-generating activities
• Participate in examination invigilation and assessment processes
• Contribute to departmental curriculum development, research, innovation, and industrialization efforts
• Participation in continuing professional development and mentorship of students
• Willingness to collaborate across disciplines within the Faculty
• Commitment to advancing the University’s vision through excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, research, and community engagement
