Job Description

Ce. SHHAR Zimbabwe is an organisation that specialises in population health research and programming, including on sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. Ce. SHHAR has an extensive national, regional, and international academic and community partnership network. Ce. SHHAR has a diverse range of funders which include the Wellcome Trust, the Gates Foundation, UK Medical Research Council, Templeton World Charity Foundation, Global Fund for AIDS TB and Malaria, UNICEF and UNFPA. We partner very closely with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK), Zimbabwe's Ministry of Health and Childcare and international and regional centres of research excellence to evaluate national programmes and determine the impact, uptake, and cost effectiveness of novel reproductive health interventions. Supporting the survey team in various studies within the Climate, Environment, and Health Department at Ce. SHHAR Zimbabwe which include identifying and enrolling eligible pregnant/postpartum women in HIGH Horizons and HAPI studies, collecting and analysing urine samples using recommended methods, conducting medical examinations, performing ethnographic observations, and conducting qualitative interviews in both clinical and non
• clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure cordial relations between the study team, health care workers, and participants at the performance sites.
• Identify and enrol eligible research participants i.e. pregnant/postpartum women.
• Collect and timely analyse urine samples and document results.
• Take anthropometric measurements of research participants.
• Administer study questionnaires.
• Provide regular fieldwork updates to the Clinical Lead and Project Coordinator.
• Provide guidance on clinical issues/practices relevant to the research projects.
• Provide mentorship and coaching of other study team members on clinical ethics.
• Attend scheduled and ad hoc project meetings.
• Any other Responsibilities assigned by the project line manager.

Requirements

A National Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Science and be a Registered General Nurse. Midwifery will be an added advantage. Must have at least 3 years of proven clinical and research Experience and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe is mandatory. The candidate must be self
• motivated with excellent communication Skills, a strong respect for confidentiality, and exceptional interpersonal Skills, particularly in client management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential for this role.
