NETWORK ENGINEER (2)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Network Engineer in the ICT department:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
• Telecommunications or equivalent. Certifications: CISCO and MicrosoftSkills
• At least one year in an enterprise environment.
• CISCO Instructorship an added advantage.

• Design, set up and configure complex wireless/wired networking that supports open or secured access
and the ability to support voice and video applications.
• Assist in the design of multi
• server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS etc;
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security,
IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc);
• Hands
• on Experience implementing and administering network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights/security within Windows/Linux environments.
• Networking: firewalls, switches, routers,, VPN, Wireless access points;
• Server: HP, Dell server platforms;
• Operating systems: Linux, Windows server 2003/2008, Windows XP/Vista/7/8;
• Back up: Symantec Back
• up Exec software and related backup tap drives
• Maintaining multi
• site network operations, software applications, operating systems
• Administration of systems and servers related to the network to ensure the availability services troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
• Knowledge of Vo. IP implementation and support.
• Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and firewall authorized users.
