VACANCY: Credit Analyst ×1 – Mashonaland West ProvinceROLE PROFILE
AFC Land & Development Bank of Zimbabwe, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings, seeks to recruit a Credit Analyst to be based in Chinhoyi. Reporting to the Senior Credit Manager, the position will be responsible for receiving and processing credit applications for clients by assessing their creditworthiness and evaluating the related credit risk.

Requirements

• A Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ Experience in credit risk.
• Knowledge and understanding of financial statements, ratios and concepts.
• Ability to analyse, classify and interpret data, including numerical data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect discrepancies.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a pressurised, high
• volume environment.
• Good communication & interpersonal Skills to effectively report results and decisions orally or in writing.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients’ credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in lending.
• Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests or refinancing requests.
• Determine creditworthiness of applicants and provide recommendations related to analysis and assessment of credit risk.
• Review credit applications, perform credit checks and verify employment.
• Present analysis, findings and recommendations to Business, especially findings relating to a borrower’s ability to repay.
• Recommend credit limits and repayment plans.
• Prepare and present business proposals to support new and existing credit applications.
• Develop and prepare specialised models to support analysis of credit applications.
• Keep track of loan accounts, identifying discrepancies and variances.
• Assist in recommending procedural or policy changes.
