PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER - HORTICULTURE (1 POST)

FACULTY OF PLANT AND ANIMAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY
PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER
• HORTICULTURE (1 POST) DEPARTMENT OF HORTICULTURE

The applicant must have attained a Master’s Degree in Crop Science, Horticulture, or related field with a Merit or better. A Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Science, Horticulture or any related field is a must. A Ph. D in Crop Science, Horticulture, or any related field is an added advantage. University teaching Experience is a distinct advantage.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied research, innovation and industrialisation programmes in the Department as well as teach the following modules at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level: Plant Propagation and Nursery Management, Crop production in protected environments, Hydroponics, and Greenhouse Technology. In addition, the applicant will be expected to coordinate and participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students.
