BRICKLAYER (X10) (Bulawayo)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to be engaged for a Part Time Contract subject to further extension as per the availability of similar projects, to fill the above
• mentioned positions within the Construction Services Department. The incumbents will report to the Project Supervisor and will be based in Bulawayo.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyzing blueprints and construction drawings to understand the layout and design of the brickwork.
• Accurately measuring and marking surfaces where bricks will be laid using tools like chalk lines.
• Preparing the mortar mixture to the correct consistency for bonding bricks together.
• Spreading mortar on the prepared surface and carefully placing bricks in position, ensuring proper alignment and level.
• Using tools like a brick hammer and chisel to cut bricks to fit specific areas and angles.
• Finishing brickwork by tooling joints and applying pointing mortar to seal gaps.
• Working safely on scaffolding to reach higher areas of a building.
• Loading, unloading, and transporting bricks and other building materials

• 5 O Levels.
• Class one skilled Worker certificate in Bricklaying and concreting will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ Experience in Construction projects.
