Seed Agronomist

We are seeking a dedicated Seeds Agronomist to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful applicants will be responsible for the following Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruiting and onboarding new growers to establish productive partnerships.
• Collecting soil samples for analysis.
• Budgeting and distributing inputs.
• Managing the parent seed program.
• Calibrating equipment and preparing land for timely planting of seed crops.
• Monitoring seed planting ratios.
• Overseeing weed management.
• Providing agronomic support services to contracted growers.
• Conducting inspections to manage pests and diseases in the seed crops.
• Strategizing and monitoring the detasseling process in seed maize.
• Overseeing harvesting and seed deliveries to the factory.
• Organizing inspections.
• Collecting seed samples for laboratory processes.
• Monitoring seed storage at farms.
• Managing grower relations on behalf of the company.

Minimum Requirements & Experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
• 5 “O” Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
• At least three (3) years hands on Experience in managing seed crops.
• Clean Class 4 Licence.
