Reporting to: Procurement and Compliance ManagerPosition Summary
As the Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation adheres to all relevant regulatory, internal policy, and donor compliance Requirements. You will work across departments to monitor operations, identify risks of non
• compliance, strengthen controls, and contribute to the development of a culture of ethical and transparent operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Law, Risk Management).
• Proven Experience (typically 2+ years) in a compliance, audit or risk environment (preferably with donor
• funded or NGO programmes) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of donor compliance Requirements, government regulations, grant management or related frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational Skills; attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and review organisational operations to ensure alignment with applicable laws, donor regulations, and internal policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential compliance gaps; propose and implement corrective measures.
• Support the development and review of compliance
• related policies, procedures and checklists.
• Assist with audits (internal/external) and prepare required documentation and reports.
• Provide training and capacity building for staff on compliance matters and regulatory Requirements.
• Liaise with regulators, donors, partners and internal stakeholders regarding compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance reviews, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
