Job Description

Position Title: Bioanalytical LC
• MS/MS Scientist
Reports To: Head of Therapeutics / DMPK Group Leader
Location: Ai. BST, Chiedza Farm, Boronia Farm, Beatrice Zimbabwe

Position Summary
The Bioanalytical LC
• MS/MS Scientist will be responsible for developing, validating, and applying LC
• MS/MS methods to support ADME/DMPK studies at the institute. The role focuses on the quantitative analysis of drugs, metabolites, and biomarkers in biological samples to advance preclinical and translational research in drug discovery and development.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Develop and validate LC
• MS/MS bioanalytical methods for small molecules and metabolites.
b) Conduct bioanalysis of in vitro and in vivo ADME/DMPK studies (microsomal stability, permeability, PK profiling).
c) Analyze, interpret, and report LC
• MS/MS data in line with GLP/GCLP and regulatory guidelines.
d) Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot LC
• MS/MS instrumentation.
e) Ensure quality control and compliance with international standards (FDA, EMA, ICH).
f) Collaborate with medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists to guide drug discovery decisions.
g) Train and mentor apprentices, graduate students, and junior scientists.

Requirements

Requirements and Experience
a) MSc or Ph. D in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field.
b) Minimum 2 years of hands
• on LC
• MS/MS Experience in bioanalysis.
c) Strong Experience in ADME/DMPK studies and pharmacokinetic analysis.
d) Proficiency with LC
• MS/MS software (e.g., Analyst, Mass. Hunter, Skyline) and pharmacokinetic tools (Win. Nonlin/Phoenix).
e) Knowledge of international bioanalytical regulatory guidelines.
