CONSULTANCY: DEVELOPMENT OF THE HOSPAZ STRATEGIC PLAN (2026–2030)

The purpose of this consultancy is to facilitate the development of the HOSPAZ Strategic Plan 2026–2030, providing a clear roadmap for achieving the organization’s mission to achieve palliative care for all, strengthening institutional capacity, and enhancing research, innovations and impact in palliative care in Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities:
Objectives
The specific objectives of this assignment are to:
1. Review the implementation and lessons learned from the HOSPAZ Strategic Plan 2021–2024.
2. Conduct a situational and stakeholder analysis to determine current trends, gaps, and opportunities in palliative care in Zimbabwe.
3. Facilitate participatory consultations with HOSPAZ members, staff, partners, government stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
4. Define HOSPAZ’s strategic direction, including vision, mission, core values, strategic goals, and objectives.
5. Develop a results
• based framework with clear indicators, outcomes, and performance measures.
6. Propose a resource mobilization and sustainability strategy aligned with the strategic priorities and current funding landscape.
7. Produce a comprehensive and professionally formatted Strategic Plan document.
Duration of the Assignment

The ideal consultant (individual or firm) should have:
• Advanced degree in Public Health, Strategic Management, Organizational Development, or related field.
• At least 7 years’ Experience in strategic planning and organizational development for health or nonprofit organizations.
• Demonstrated Experience in palliative care, health systems, or community health programming.
• Strong facilitation, analytical, and report
• writing Skills.
• Knowledge of the Zimbabwean health context and policy environment.

Duration of the Assignment
