Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate workshop staff including mechanics, electricians, panel beaters and support personnel.
• Plan and schedule maintenance, repairs, and inspections for fleet vehicles.
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks and optimal resource utilisation.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; manage procurement and stock levels.
• Coordinate departmental performance management system in consultation with Human Resources.
• Enforce discipline within the department.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular audits.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, service history, and costs.
• Liaise with logistics team to align maintenance with operational needs.

Requirements

• Diploma in any automotive field.
• Class 1 Journeyman in Mechanics, Auto Electrics or equivalent.
• Minimum five years’ Experience in a commercial workshop, two of which should be managerial level.
• Strong leadership and team management Skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and workshop software.
• Excellent organizational and problem
• solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal Skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
