Job Description
The Incumbent will report to the Director, Works and Estates.
POST 2: MANAGER, WORKS AND ESTATES (1 POST)

Bachelor’s Degree in Rural and Urban Planning/Architecture/Building Technology or Civil Engineering;
Post graduate degree in Administration or Management from a recognized University will be an added advantage;
Membership of a relevant professional board is a pre
• requisite;
Three (3) years relevant post Requirements Experience in a managerial position; and. Experience at a managerial position in a university will be a distinct advantage;
Candidates who do not have the stipulated Requirements need not apply.
Only shortlisted candidates will be conducted.

• Managing University’s infrastructure and estates;
• Conducting periodic inspection of buildings and facilities and making appropriate recommendations;
• Planning, setting up and implementation of maintenance programmes to ensure the department achieves its mandate effectively and efficiently;
• Rental negotiations, review of lease agreements and office space allocations;
• Supervising all maintenance works on/ and repairs to buildings;
• Working with the Building Committee in the initiation, designing and implementation and appraisal of construction and refurbishment programmes, projects and activities;
• Providing secretarial services to the Building Committee;
• Any other Responsibilities delegated by the Director, Works and Estates.
