About the job
ZBFH is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Accounts Clerk, which has arisen within the Insurance Cluster, Finance and Accounting department. As an Accounts Clerk, you will provide essential accounting and clerical support, ensuring the smooth and accurate functioning of the finance department in the Insurance Cluster. This is a vital role requiring attention to detail, adherence to established procedures, and a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent Requirements.
• 3+ years of relevant Experience.
• Previous Experience in the Financial Services Sector is essential.
• Strong organizational Skills and an exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key tasks, including:
• Providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
• Accurately typing, preparing, and maintaining accounting documents and records.
• Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
• Researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
• Compiling reports/summaries on activity areas and informing management.
• Functioning in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Applying accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work Responsibilities.
• Assisting with regular bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining, verifying, and updating numerous ledgers.
• Assisting with invoices and payments.
• Helping to provide and prepare information for reports in a timely manner.
• Performing general office support like filing and other administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
