Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has an
exciting, and challenging career opportunity within its North & Middle Dyke Mining
Division(Mutorashanga).

to fill the vacant post of Auto Electrician on a Fixed
• Term employment contract basis,

AUTO ELECTRICIAN X1

Key Responsibilities:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
 Diagnosing faults, repair and maintenance and assembling of Mobile equipment and
stationery auto electrical units e.g. starter motors, alternators, batteries and power
assemblies.
 Maintain and diagnose faults on electro mechanical, electro hydraulics, electro
pneumatic circuits and components.
 Carry out daily mobile equipment plant checks on allocated pieces of equipment and
maintain them to world class standard.
 Maintenance of Mobile equipment, Generators and vehicles to maximize plant
availability.
 Carry out battery maintenance, tracking and machine rewiring.
 Carry out allocated job tasks within the specified standard time & standby Responsibilities.
 Communicate with Chargehand on stock outs & plant status.
 Carry out housekeeping as per NOSA standards.
 Fill in job cards qualitatively on completion of tasks and hand them over to the
Superintendent for inspection and signing.

MINIMUM Requirements & Experience
 At least (five) 5 'O' Levels including Mathematics and English.
 Class one journeyman's certificate.
 Able to work under pressure.
 Should be apprenticeship trained.
 Physical fitness for heavy manual work.
 Should have basic computer Skills.
 Working knowledge of safety management systems, with exposure to the NOSA SHE
System being an added advantage.
