Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the Accounting Assistant position that has arisen at The Cotton Company of Zimbabwe
• COTTCO.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervises and verifies the receipt of raw materials delivered to Afroran on behalf of Cottco.
• Monitors storage conditions and ensures stock segregation between Cottco and Afroran materials.
• Participates in and validates stock takes, reconciliations, and monthly inventory reports.
• Signs off on all yarn dispatches and deliveries involving Cottco’s stock.
• Monitors and approves sales to small walk
• in customers (up to 20 MT/month), ensuring dispatch and receipting is properly recorded and acknowledged.
• Maintains copies of all sales schedules and documentation for Cottco reporting.
• Tracks the processing of Cottco’s lint into yarn, ensuring monthly throughput targets are met.
• Reports on delays, discrepancies or process inefficiencies affecting Cottco stock.
• Reports on storage safety including fire hazards, access control and general security of Cottco stock.
• Identifies and flags any potential conflicts of interest or procedural breaches.
• Submits weekly and monthly reports to Cottco Head Office detailing movements, sales, processing progress and risk issues.
• Serves as the liaison between Afroran operations and Cottco management.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, or related field
• At least 2 years of Experience in inventory control, production monitoring, or warehouse supervision
• Knowledge of lint and yarn handling processes is an added advantage
