Job Description
An exciting opportunity for the position of Procurement Officer has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is an extensive, local and international provider of high quality and durable timber
• based solutions for both industrial, domestic and end user markets. The successful incumbent will report to the Procurement Executive and shall be based in Mutare.
Requirements
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or professional diploma in supply chain management level 6 CIPS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
• Knowledge of ERP Accounting System is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ work Experience in public procurement
Responsibilities
• Prepares annual and individual Procurement plans in line with the organisation’s annual budget
• Prepares bidding documents in compliance with Public Procurement and Disposal of Asset Act
• Manages bidding processes, bidding meetings, clarifications and the receipt and opening of bids
• Secures the adoption of the appropriate method of procurement
• Maintains records of all purchases
• Carries out other Responsibilities within the scope of the job
