Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill in the following post:
ICT TECHNICIAN (1 post)

The candidate should possess the following key Skills
 BSc in Computer Science or equivalent from recognized institutions.
 Professional Requirements in Networking.
 Knowledge of Sophos XG firewall.
 Applicant should have at least two years’ Experience in the field of Networking

 Monitor network performance and ensure system availability, reliability, and security.
 Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades.
 Provide first
• line support for network connectivity issues.
 Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, and WAN problems promptly to minimize downtime.
 Assist staff and students with network
• related technical issues.
 Implement and enforce network security measures (antivirus, firewalls, VPN, access controls).
 Monitor for unauthorized access, network intrusions, and resolve vulnerabilities.
 Ensure compliance with institutional ICT policies and national data protection laws.
 Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
 Prepare and submit network status and incident reports to ICT management.
 Keep an updated inventory of network equipment.
 Work with the ICT team to support new projects and technology rollouts.
 Train end
• users on basic connectivity and safe network usage practices.
 Liaise with service providers for escalated support and infrastructure improvements.
