Assistant Surveyor

Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production sector, has some exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Shurugwi & South Dyke Mining Division.

At least 5 Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English
 Diploma in Survey/Geology or equivalent from a
reputable tertiary institution is an added advantage.
 At least 1 year working Experience in a mining environment.
 Knowledge in the use of survey equipment is an added advantage.
 Working knowledge of safety management systems, with exposure to the NOSA SHE System being an added advantage.
 Good working knowledge of an ERP system, preferably
SAP will be an added advantage.
 Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.

 Assist the Mine Surveyor in carrying out stockpile surveys, exploration and engineering surveys.
 Assist the mine surveyor in updating mining faces for surface and underground mines, and maintain an accurate record of all mine workings and plans.
 Responsible for the upkeep of survey equipment.
 SHE Management within the Survey section.
