General Manager

Raysun Capital is seeking an experienced and results
• driven General Manager to lead the day
• to
• day operations, drive growth, and optimize performance across its financial services portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong Experience in microfinance or SME lending, a data
• driven approach to decision
• making, and a proven ability to lead high
• performing teams in a dynamic market.

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of Experience in financial services, with at least 3 years in a senior management or general management role.
• Demonstrated Experience managing a lending or credit operation (preferably SME or microfinance).
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision
• making Skills.
• Excellent communication and people management capabilities.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree (MBA or related) is an added advantage.
• Experience in working within or leading a growing fintech or alternative lending company.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the Zimbabwean financial services sector.

1. Strategic Execution & Business Growth
• Translate the company’s strategy into actionable business plans with clear KPIs and timelines.
• Drive portfolio growth through new client acquisition, retention, and diversified lending products.
• Oversee the development and rollout of new financial products aligned with customer needs.
2. Credit & Risk Management
• Oversee credit risk assessment and portfolio quality.
• Ensure strong underwriting standards and monitor early warning indicators.
• Minimize default rates through proactive credit control and collections oversight.
3. Operations & Process Management
• Streamline workflows, lending processes, and turnaround times to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit Requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Maintain a robust MIS and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
4. Financial Management
• Prepare and manage the operating budget, ensuring optimal cost structures and profitability.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and operational ratios; provide regular financial performance updates.
• Work closely with finance teams on reconciliation, disbursements, and repayments.
5. Team Leadership & Culture
• Lead, mentor, and build capacity within cross
• functional teams (credit, recovery, sales, and operations).
• Establish a performance
• driven culture grounded in accountability, ethics, and innovation.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and support staff development initiatives.
6. Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners, suppliers, customers, and regulators.
• Support investor and lender reporting as required.
• Represent the company in industry forums and relevant networking engagements.
