Education
• Diploma in Theatre Nursing

• Assesses patients pre
• operatively and identifies any potential risks or concerns.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans for patients.
• Ensures patients are properly prepared for surgery, including ensuring informed consent.
• Provides skilled nursing care during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and aseptic environment.
• Assists the anesthetist and surgeon as required.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient care during surgery.
• Provides post
• operative care to patients, monitoring their recovery and managing any post
• operative complications.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans for patients post
• operatively.
• Ensures patients are properly prepared for discharge or transfer to another unit.
• Works collaboratively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthetists, and other nurses.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
