Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree.
• A master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation.
• Competence with data, passion for social change, and strong quantitative and qualitative analysis Skills to support M&E activities,
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional Experience in an M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities in development projects.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
• Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and performance monitoring plans.
• Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, mixed
• method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement M&E frameworks: Develop and maintain M&E plans, frameworks, and tools to track research grants and innovation projects.
• Collect and analyse data: Gather, analyse, and interpret data on research grants and innovation projects, including metrics on outputs, outcomes, and impacts.
• Monitor project performance: Track project progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for course correction so as to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
• Develop reports and briefs: Prepare progress reports, briefs, and other communication materials on research grants and innovation projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, innovators, policymakers, and funders, to ensure effective M&E practices.
• Develop and maintain M&E tools and methodologies: Stay up to date with best practices and new methodologies in M&E.
• Capacity building: Provide training and capacity
• building support to research and innovation teams on M&E
• related matters.
• Any other Responsibilities as may be assigned.
