Job Description

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
• The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Zimbabwe works in partnership with the Government of Zimbabwe, humanitarian and development actors, the private sector, and local communities to address immediate food needs while supporting long
• term solutions to hunger and malnutrition.
• WFP’s portfolio in Zimbabwe is guided by its Country Strategic Plan (CSP 2022–2026), which aligns with national development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.

Requirements

Education: Advanced University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences or other field relevant to international development assistance, or First University Degree with additional years of related work Experience and/or trainings/courses.

Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all
• inclusive, within delegated authority):
• Support the development and maintenance of the CO's funds management structure within the Programme Unit.
• Monitor fund allocations and expenditures, ensuring timely commitment and utilization in line with donor Requirements and WFP guidelines.
• Coordinate with Activity Managers, Finance, Supply Chain, and Resource Management to align budgets with implementation plans and funding availability.
• Support Activity Managers in the timely preparation of project budgets, Budget Revisions (BRs), and Implementation Plans (IPs)
• Monitor expenditure trends against Implementation Plans and provide early warnings of over/underspending.
• Liaise with the Resource Management, Activity Managers and Finance teams, as needed, to support fund status reporting.
