Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has an exciting, and
challenging career opportunity at its Smelting Division, in Kwekwe.

vacant post of Electrical Engineer on a Fixed Term employment contract basis, renewable subject to

Key Responsibilities:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
 Ensuring plant and equipment maintenance works are properly planned, executed and
commissioned within approved budgets and timelines
 Ensuring maintenance engineering work is carried out in accordance with specifications, statutory
Requirements, regulations and other contractual Requirements with due regards to safety, quality,
operability and maintainability
 Ensuring plant and equipment availability as per pre
• set parameters
 Ensuring compliance to statutory and regulatory Requirements
 Projects formulation, appraisal and execution
 Manage the sectional and departmental SHE and Quality Management Systems
 Achieving results through team work

MINIMUM Requirements & Experience
 A first degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution
 A holder of professional Requirements such as ZESA 33KV Switching Certificate
 A minimum of five (5) years post Requirements Experience, three (3) of which should have been at
Section Engineer level in a Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing or Mining Environment
 Demonstrate knowledge of electrical constructions, installations and maintenance
 Working knowledge of and competence in PLCs and High Voltage switch gear maintenance a must
 Knowledge of Integrated Maintenance Management Systems
 Experience in projects formulation, appraisal and execution
 Understanding of construction and building procedures, including mounting solar panels and
maintenance of solar power generating plants
 Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an ERP System, preferably SAP
 Working knowledge of SHE and Quality Management Systems and exposure to the NOSA SHE
System will be an added advantage
 Strong people management Skills and team player
 Membership of a recognized engineering professional body
